Engineering can feel abstract before a student has a chance to design, model, test, and revise something of their own. A first conversation helps turn the student’s interests into a realistic project, skill-building goal, or possible next step.

A fit-first approach

Mentorship is shaped around age, current experience, interests, and available time. For minors, a parent or guardian should be involved in the intake and scheduling process. Project scope and tool requirements are agreed before sessions begin.
